I never found out the actual reason why my VISA was cancelled. I had a work permit (Z visa - residence permit) from my job...but we think it might be possible the work permit they gave me was not entirely "legit", as in they might have obtained it through underground means. My roommate who worked at the same job was deported at the same time as well, and he had gotten his work permit at the same time as I did. But I can never be sure. Did they ever tell you why your visa was cancelled? I know the legal system here is shoddy, but surely they must have had to give you at least some reason, no? Or was it a problem with the wrong letters on important parts of the visa? Guess that would explain why your work didn't want them going there. Either way, real shitty thing to have to endure.
